Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) is a subject of much interest to forecasting professionals.  In many companies, S&OP processes are the critical mechanisms for translating demand forecasts into the multitude of plans that are needed to run the business.  In this presentation, Mark Moon will report on a recent survey of best practices in S&OP, and present a snapshot of how this key process for Demand/Supply Integration is being implemented in a variety of industry settings.  Mark will be joined by Fred Baumann, Vice President, JDA Software who will introduce the topic and pose questions to Mark following his presentation.

Dr. Mark Moon is Director of the Sales Forecasting Management Forum and Associate Professor of Marketing at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.  Prior to joining the UT faculty in 1993, Dr. Moon earned his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  He holds MBA and BA Degrees from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
